A Winder man was arrested Tuesday an a charge of exploitation of an elder person after he allegedly stole $70,000 from a Hoschton woman.
Hall County Sheriff's deputies culminated their investigation when they arrested Hyun Bae You, 57, in Gwinnett County on Tuesday, just over a month after a friend of the 84-year-old woman reported the fraud.
"Since that time, over the initial investigation, we determined the suspect... had befriended the 84-year-old several years ago, about four years back, and through that friendship had gained access to the victim's bank account," said Booth.
Booth said he was unsure if any further charges could be expected, but he did say they were still investigating the dollar amount that may have been stolen over the four year period
