Baseball: Jefferson's Perry no-hits Stephens

JEFFERSON — Jackson Perry pitched seven hitless innings to lead the Jefferson baseball team past Stephens County, 5-0, at home on Wednesday. 

Perry finished the no-hitter with nine strikeouts and two walks in the non-region win. 

Kade McNally, Jake Walker and Nick Sellers all drove in a run each. Sellers and Bryan Jewell finished the day with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. 

The Dragons (5-7, 3-0 Region 8-3A) scored their five runs across three innings, with three runs in the 4th, and one in the 5th and 6th innings.
