OAKWOOD — Lakeview Academy ended the week with a doubleheader sweep against West Hall on the road, 15-9 and 9-7, on Saturday.
The Lions (5-1) blew the game wide open in the last two innings, scoring 8 runs.
The Lions scored 15 runs on 12 hits to beat the Spartans in Game 1. Sam Stewart hit a big 2-run blast while going 3-for-4 at the plate with 6 RBIs. He also added a 2RBI double and crossed the play three times in the win.
Skyler Thellman and Conley Millwood each ripped a single and scored three runs, and Jordan Thomas was 2-for-4, with an RBI single.
Jesse Whiting earned the win on the mound, going five innings.
In Game 2, the Lions held off a Spartan rally to get the close win, 9-7.
Parker Allen picked up the win on the mound going 4 1/3 innings, allowing 1 earned run and struck out 2. Allen also had a good day at the play, going 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs.
Stewart also was 3-for-4 with an RBI double and a stolen base. Stewart earned the save in relief earning the final out to seal the win.
Andrew Estes had 2 hits, including a 2 RBI single and scored 2 runs. Will Edwards and Jordan Thomas knocked two hits each.
