Voting registration deadline tomorrow for Nov. 3 general election

For those planning on voting in the general election this year, Monday, Oct. 5 is the final day to register to vote.

Voters can register online through the Secretary of State’s online voter registration system, or can download the National Mail Voter Registration Form and mail it to the Secretary of State’s office. According to Hall County Elections Director Lori Wurtz, they can also walk in and register in the Registrar’s Office.

To qualify to register in Georgia, voters must be a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of Georgia and 18 years old within six months after the day of registration. They cannot be serving a sentence for having convicted a felony and they cannot have been judicially determined to be mentally incompetent.

Those who do not meet the Oct. 5 deadline will not be eligible to vote in the election on Nov. 3.
