COMMERCE — Commerce slowly chipped away in a 42-14 win over Madison County Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers (4-1, 0-0) grabbed a 21-7 lead when Sam Roach scored his second of three touchdowns with 5:29 to go in the first half.
Roach rushed 22 times for 115 yards and three touchdowns. Tyelon Brock turned in 117 yards on five carries, including a 63-yard touchdown run to open the third quarter and push the Tigers' lead to 28-7.
Roach added another touchdown early in the fourth quarter and Josh Frates scored late in the game on a 12-yard run.
Commerce quarterback Nate Ray finished the night with 86 yards.
The Tigers is off Friday.
