By AccessWDUN Staff

BETHLEHEM — East Hall swept a doubleheader against Jefferson and Apalachee Saturday at Apalachee High School.

The Lady Vikings took a 2-1, walkoff win over Jefferson in eight innings and then needed a big ninth inning to take an 8-5 victory over the host Lady Wildcats.

In the first game against Jefferson, Calli Hardison broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning with a game-winning home run.

East Hall led 1-0 into the sixth when the Lady Dragons tied the game. It stayed that way until Hardison's blast.

Hardison went the distance in the circle scattering four hits and striking out four in eight innings.

Gracie Ausborn and Hardison each had a pair of hits for East Hall.

Against Apalachee, the game was tied 5-5 until the Lady Vikings plated three runs in the ninth. Abigail Brown broke the deadlock with a three-run homer.

That came after East Hall rallied to tie the game in the seventh.

Macy Banks got the win in the circle surrendering 10 hits and five runs while striking out three and walking none.

East Hall banged out 14 hits with Ausborn, Brown, Hardison, Banks, and Carley Cox each collecting multiple hits.
