*Monday, traffic will shift to new lanes at the Stone Pile Gap Roundabout at SR 9/SR 19/ SR 60 in Lumpkin County.

*More than 70 exhibitors, representing companies that are hiring, are expected for the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce's 2019 Job Fair & Career Expo, Sept. 24, 2:00-6:00, at the Gainesville Civic Center. This event is presented by Express Employment Professionals, open to the public with no admission fee. *Lavonia is one of 16 places in Georgia that will share in more than $76 million in state-financed low-interest loans for infrastructure improvements. Lavonia is getting $2.2 million to finance an upgrade to its sewerage system and wastewater treatment facility.

*Three University of North Georgia students will have their education paid for plus an internship and a guaranteed job upon graduation thanks to the Department of Defense Cyber Scholarship program.  More than 400 students applied and 96 were awarded scholarships.  According to a UNG news release, because of the National Security Agency's security requirements, the recipients' names are not released.

*The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission’s Career Coach will visit the Good Samaritan Food Bank on McEver Road in Gainesville August 28 from 9 AM – 11 AM.   Experts will be on hand to help job-seekers search and apply for jobs, write resumes and cover letters, discern their career interests, and learn about funding available for training.  There is no charge for these services.
