ATHENS — The Cherokee Bluff softball team opened its 2019 campaign in impressive style Tuesday.
The Lady Bears pounded out 16 hits behind a three-hit day from Isabelle Herren in a 17-0 route of Cedar Shoals on the road.
Herren and Faith Burgamy combined for a one-hit shutout in the circle. Burgamy, Clarissa McDaniel, and Stephanie Condland all had multiple hit games for Cherokee Bluff (1-0).
The Lady Bears are off until traveling to Gainesville next Monday.
