GAINESVILLE — Windy conditions highlighted the first round of the annual City Championship Friday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.
No golfers were able to break par with Jonathan Gaillard firing an even-par 72 to hold the lead after the opening round of the 54-hole event.
Grant Crowell, Jim Foote, Ryan Hogan and Will Peeples all shot 1-over 73 to sit in a tie for second. Jackson Bishop, Jeff Waggoner, Alex Hughes and Alex Morettini are two shots after rounds of 74.
In all, 11 players are within three shots of the lead heading into Saturday's second round.
