A Lula man remained in the Hall County Jail Wednesday following his arrest last week on sex crime charges against a child under the age of 10.
Anthony Geissert, 28, was arrested July 5 on charges including aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery and two counts of rape, according to a press release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office. The victim was a female between the ages of three and nine during the alleged incidents.
The crimes allegedly occurred on at least four occasions between June 2012 and May 2018 at the victim's home. A Sheriff's Office spokesman said in the release that Geissert knew the victim through a person he had a relationship with previously.
A family member of the victim first reported the alleged incidents to deputies on June 25, 2019.
No bond has been set for Geissert.
