Pedestrian struck, killed on I-985 off-ramp

A woman who was lying in a lane of Interstate 985 off-ramp near Oakwood was struck by a car and killed early Tuesday morning, the Georgia State Patrol said.

Shadondria Anyel Hunter, 30, of Gainesville was lying in the left lane of the Exit 17 southbound off-ramp under the Atlanta Highway overpass when she was hit by the front bumper of a black 2011 Hyundai Sonata, a news release from GSP's Post 6 in Gainesville said. Hunter died from her injuries.

The driver of the Sonata, Bibiana Flores Gonzalez, 37, of Morrow was not injured. 

The accident happened about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

No charges will be filed in the accident.
