*Forsyth County’s Splash Pad, located at Old Atlanta Park, will open for the season beginning May 25 and will remain open through Sept. 2.

*For the 20th consecutive year, the Gainesville Middle School Band earned all Superior ratings at the High Note Music Festival in Powder Springs. 

*Syfan Logistics in Gainesville is among the country's 346 best places to work, according to the latest report from Inc Magazine.

*Free breakfasts and lunches will be available at select Hall County schools and mobile route locations during June and July for children ages 0-18, according to a posting on the county school system's Facebook page.  Meals at no cost will be available at select Hall County schools and mobile route locations this summer for kids 0-18. Check foodservices.hallco.org for site locations, dates, and menus.

*The three winners of the Forsyth County Fire Department’s 2019 Fire Safety Poster Contest have been announced. The winners from each poster theme category are:  “Stay Low and Go” - Sasha Biran, a student at Daves Creek Elementary;  “Two Ways Out” - Seth Landers, a student at Whitlow Elementary;  and, “Firefighters Are Our Friends” - Kayal Subramanian, a student at Daves Creek Elementary.

*Expect single lane closures Monday on Dawsonville Highway between Dogwood Trail and Little Hall Park between 11:00-2:00 as crews pour concrete drainage structures behind the guardrail.
