Flowery Branch's Jannakos eliminated from The Voice

A Flowery Branch man's time on popular singing competition television show "The Voice" has come to an end.

Andrew Jannakos didn't gain enough votes in comparison to his Cross Battle opponent, Dexter Roberts, to stay safe in the competition.

"I just wanted to say I appreciate everything that you've done, it's been absolutely incredible. And for you to see it in me and believe in me and to be here has been absolutely incredible," Jannakos said in his 10 second final words to his coach after the announcement. Coaches could have "stolen" Jannakos during that time from his coach, Adam Levine, but did not. "And for you to teach me a new genre that I might not have known has been insane, so I appreciate you for that."

Jannakos was featured on Part One of the Cross Battles episodes, which combines two players from different teams to perform an individual song. In Part One, eight artists advanced to the Top 24 spots.

"Andrew, if you advance, great, you advance. But if you don't, get in a car and drive down to Nashville and get a record deal, because you look so cool for what you do, it's so different, and the juxtaposition of those things is amazing," said Levine before the final results were announced. "I hope you stay on my team so we can keep working together, but man, I think that you are and incredible country singer with range and power and so unique and interesting. I just, I wish the best for you either way, man."

Jannakos was not immediately available for comment.
