*A portion of Main Street in Gainesville in front of the parking deck will be closed for one more week as final paving is completed. That's according to a posting on the city's Facebook page.
*Don Carter State Park is looking for volunteers for Saturday's "Sweep the 'Hooch" cleanup. Volunteers should be prepared to walk the shoreline of Lake Lanier and the Chattahoochee River and, perhaps, cross some shallow water to retrieve trash. *Gainesville Theatre Alliance will close out its 2018-19 season with "Cabaret" and its Discovery series show "The Kiss."
