TALLULAH FALLS — Ian Echols pitched a complete-game shutout to lead Lakeview Academy to a 10-0, six inning win over Tallulah Falls Wednesday in Region 8-A action on the road.
The Lions (8-2, 1-0 Region 8-A) pounded out 13 hits and took advantage of three Tallaluah errors. Lakeview scored five runs in the second and three in the third to take control. A two-run sixth invoked the Mercy Rule.
Parker Allen had three hits and an RBI while Andrew Estes had two hits and two RBI to lead Lakevew attack. Sam Stewart had two hits and an RBI, Holden Cooper had two hits and scored two runs, and Skyler Thellman had a two-run single for the Lions.
Lakeview next will play host to Providence Christian on Friday in another Region 8-A battle.
