A serious injury accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Gainesville has placed one in the hospital.
According to the Georgia State Patrol Post #6, Elijah Sanchez, of Gainesville was traveling west on Roy Parks Road when he lost control of his 2005 Volvo S80.
GSP CPL. Joshua Hedden said that's when Sanchez, 24, drove off the road and rolled multiple times before being ejected from the vehicle.
"Vehicle 1 [Sanchez] traveled off the right side of the road and began to rotate counterclockwise, then traveled off the left side of the road," Hedden said. "Vehicle 1 overturned multiple times and struck two trees with the left side.
According to the accident report, Sanchez's vehicle came to rest on all four wheels facing north.
"Vehicle 1 came to rest on all four wheels facing north," Hedden said. "Sanchez was ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a safety restraint."
Sanchez was transported by Hall County Fire Services to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
