Thousands of Georgians who signed up for individual insurance policies with the state's largest provider are getting some bad news.
Officials with the Wellstar health care network will allow a contract to expire leaving many patients without coverage starting February 4, 2019, according to the AJC.
That leaves customers of Anthem, formerly known as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, to either avoid Wellstar providers or pay out of network costs.
The Wellstar network includes nearly a dozen hospitals, three health parks, 10 urgent care clinics and an unknown number of doctors.
