The speed limit on Interstate 85 between Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinnett County and State Route 53 in Jackson County will be reduced Thursday.
The speed limit will be set at 60 mph Thursday while crews work on the Interstate 85 widening project, according to a release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
"Lowering the speed limit along the I-85 widening project will ensure safety for drivers and our workers. Please Drive Alert through our work zone," the release stated.
