DAHLONEGA — Jackson County and Tyler Wester made one heck of a rebound on Friday.
One week after suffering a shutout loss to North Hall, Wester rushed for five first half touchdowns and the Panthers stormed to a 45-0 win over Lumpkin County in Dahlonega,
Wester rumbled for 172 yards as the Panthers (2-1) rebounded from last week's 35-0 loss to North Hall in style.
The Jackson County running back broke loose for a 39-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage as the Panthers pounced on the lead.
Wester also scored on runs of 4, 15 and 35 yards as the Panthers pounced on several Lumpkin County fumbles.
The Indians (1-2) will look to bounce back nect week at Gilmer.
Jackson County, meanwhile, will take on Apalachee at home on Sept. 7.
