GAINESVILLE — Riverside Military Academy got scores in all three phases of the game in a 27-3 victory over King’s Ridge Christian Friday night at Maginnis Field.
Khalid Duke had a 60-yard punt return for a touchdown on special teams while Jashod Dabney had an 80-yard pick-6 on defense for the Eagles (1-0).
Dylan Parr added a rushing touchdown for the Riverside offense.
Defensively the Eagles were stout holding King’s Ridge to just 123 total yards. Wookdong Harry Kim had a huge game with 19 tackles and Duke added 10 tackles while Lamar Gordon recovered a fumble for the Eagles.
Riverside next will complete its game against Christian Heritage, which was postponed due to weather last week. The two teams will meet again on Friday with Christian Heritage lading 17-7 at halftime.
