Dr. Jeffrey R. Wilson of Cleveland, superintendent of the White County School System, has been named one of three top finalists for that position in the Floyd County School System.

“After conducting an extensive search and completing candidate interviews, the Floyd County Board of Education has named its three superintendent finalists,” a press release from the Floyd system states. “The top three finalists are Dr. April Childers of Rome, Dr. Glenn White of Rome, and Dr. Jeffrey R. Wilson of Cleveland.”

Wilson has led the White County School System since September 2011.

A final selection could be made by the Floyd County Board of Education in the next few weeks.
