A Lanier Middle School student is reportedly facing a weapons charge for bringing a gun to campus on Friday.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, citing a letter sent home to parents, reports the child never threatened anyone, but did show the gun to other students on the Sugar Hill school's grounds.
Multiple students apparently came forward, telling staff members that the child had shown them the weapon.
The student's name was not released, but the student will reportedly be charged with bringing a weapon on a school campus, on top of disciplinary action from the school.
The gun was brought from home, and apparently belongs to the student's parents.
In February, just days after the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida, a student at Lanier High School was arrested for bringing a gun to campus.
