By AccessWDUN

SUGAR HILL — Collier Scott tossed a no-hitter to lead Gainesville to an 11-0, five-inning win over Lanier Monday night in Region 8-6A action.

Collier fanned six and walked just one.

The win pulled the Red Elephants (14-6, 5-2 Region 8-6A) into a first-place tie with the Longhorns (14-8, 5-2). Gainesville pushed its win streak to five straight while it snapped Lanier's five-game win streak.

The Red Elephants opened the game with a pair of runs in the first inning and quickly blew the game open with five runs in the second. They added a run in the third and three more in the fifth to put the Mercy Rule into effect.

Jared Smith and Jackson Kemp each had two hits and three RBI to pace the Gainesville offense. Banks Griffith had a hit and two RBI and Cale Conley, Dalton Kyle, and Cameron Wilson each had one hit for the Red Elephants.

NORTH HALL 6
EAST HALL 0

The Trojans needed a inning big late to pull away for a Region 7-3A win over the Vikings at East Hall Park.

North Hall (15-3, 10-0 Region 7-3A) led just 2-0 before a four-run outburst in the sixth inning. Reese Olson never let the Vikings (10-9, 5-5) get much going holding East Hall to just three hits and walked just one while stirking out seven in six innings. Kelton Kieschnick pitched a perfect seventh inning striking out one for the Trojans.

Jackson Dyer had a hit and two RBI and Caleb Clark, Olson, Charlie Erickson, and Tyler Brooks each had one RBI for North Hall.

Matt Lacey had two hits and Trevor Rider one hit for East Hall. Trey Campbell went four innings allowing no earned runs and five hits and five walks for East Hall. TJ Smith was charged with four runs on five hits in two innings for the Vikings.

The win kept North Hall, which has won 12 straight overall, in first place while the Vikings fell two games behind Greater Atlanta Christian for second place.

JEFFERSON 7
OCONEE COUNTY 1

Clayton Jones had two hits and four RBI, including a three-run home run to power the Dragons past the Warriors in Region 8-4A action.

The win, coupled with a St. Pius loss to North Oconee, moved Jefferson (13-6, 6-1 Region 8-4A) two games ahead of the Titans, Golden Lions, and Madison County who are all tied for second place.

The Dragons scored four runs in the fourth on a hit, a groundout, a stolen base, and a wild pitch. They added three in the fifth on Jones's blast.

Patrick Hickox picked up the win on the mound scattering nine hits and fanning five in a complete-game effort.

WEST HALL 10
DAWSON COUNTY 3

Jeffrey Jenkins had a pair of doubles and four RBI at the plate and went six innings allowing three runs on five hits on the mound to lead the Spartans (15-4) to their eighth straight win in a non-region battle.

West Hall jumped on the Tigers (10-11) early with two runs in the first, four in the second, and one in the third. Both teams scored three runs in the sixth.

Gabe Allison had a hit and a RBI and Cameron Shirley had three hits and two RBI for West Hall. Canaan Koger and Clayton Jenkins each had two hits for the Spartans.

The two teams will meet again on Wednesday in Dawsonville.
