CALHOUN — East Hall split a pair of games from 2017 state semifinalist Calhoun on the road Saturday.
The Vikings took a 5-1 in the first game behind superb pitching from Luke Holtzclaw (4 IP, 3 hits, 6 Ks, 1 ER) and TJ Smith (3 IP, 2 hits, 4 K) in handing the Yellow Jackets their first loss of the season.
Luke Cooper paced the offense with three hits, including a double, and two RBI. Trevor Rider added two hits and two RBI as well.
Calhoun (5-1) ralled to take the second game, 4-0.
Trey Campbell pitched well for the Vikings (2-3) in the loss allowing just five hits and fanning 11 in five innings but the defense gave up three unearned runs.
Trevor Rider had two hits in the second game.
