Baseball: North Hall takes out Forsyth Central; Jefferson bests North Oconee

GAINESVILLE — North Hall rang up seven runs over the first five innings on Thursday -- with Reese Olson on the mound, it was more than enough.

Olson pitched 5 innings of no-hit baseball before giving way to Dylan Wiley in an eventual 7-3 win for the Trojans over Forsyth Central in Gainesville.

Olson struck out nine Bulldogs batters and allowed just one walk.

Meanwhile, Caleb Clark and and Caden Bales each produced two hits at the plate, Bales also scoring two runs and Clark driving in a run. Charlie Erickson and Caleb Wiley also produced one hit apiece for the Trojans, Wiley driving in three runs and Erickson one.

North Hall travels to South Forsyth on Saturday for a doubleheader.

Will Wood earned the win on the mound for the Dragons (2-1) on Thursday in the Athens Christian Tournament. 

Wood allowed just three hits and struck out six batters.

Lane Watkins helped lead Jefferson at the plate, going 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Ryan Godfrey and Kade McNally each produced hits for the Dragons.

Jefferson will play again in the tournament at Athens Christian at 4 p.m. Friday against Tatnall.
