With the new year, another component of the Sugar Hill E-Center will open.
The city announced in a post on its Facebook page that the community gymnasium will open on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019.
The gym includes workout areas, basketball courts, a walking track and classroom spaces, according to information on the city website. The Gwinnett Daily Post reported the gym will be a key element in the City of Sugar Hill's recreation department.
Other components of the $46 million mixed-use development have been opening since the fall.
The E-Center is located on West Broad Street. The complex is owned and operated by the City of Sugar Hill’s Downtown Development Authority.
