The Jacobs Media family of stations will be on hand around northeast Georgia and the state as the first round of the 2018 playoffs opens on Friday night.

Jacobs Media will have three games on air on Friday on WDUN AM 550, WDUN FM 102.9, and 94.5 FM The Lake. You can begin your playoff coverage with the Tailgate Show with Caleb Hutchins at 6 p.m. on each station.

Over on 94.5 FM The Lake, Gainesville will travel to Region 5-5A champion Creekside in Class 6A. The Red Elephants (2-8) are the No. 4 seed from Region 8-6A and squeaked into the playoffs despite starting the season 0-7 winning two of their last three games. The Seminoles (7-3) won their final six games to capture the region crown.

On WDUN AM 550 Flowery Branch will travel to Rossville to take on Ridgeland in Class 4A. The Falcons are the No. 3 seed from Region 7-4A while the Panthers are the No. 2 seed from Region 6-4A in northwest Georgia. Flowery Branch (8-2) battled injures down the stretch but rallied with two wins to close out the season. Ridgeland (7-3) won seven of its last eight after an 0-2 start.

And, on WDUN FM 102.9, North Hall heads to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in Class 3A. The Trojans (8-2) finished as the No. 3 seed from Region 7-3A and had their three-game win streak snapped last week to No. 7 Dawson County in an overtime thriller and both of their losses came to ranked teams. The Warriors (7-3) also had a three-game win streak snapped last week in a loss to No. 1 Calhoun.
