GAINESVILLE — The Gainesville boys and White County girls cross country team continued their strong runs on the season with victories Tuesday at the Riverside Invitational at Riverside Military Academy.
The White County girls, who finished with just 18 points, put their five scoring runners in the top six, led by winner Jaelen Alexander and runner-up Rachel Gearing. Hart County finished second with a distant 76 points.
Gainesville placed four runners in the top nine, led by Mugisha Bienvenu, to finish with 44 points. White County took second with 80 points in the 14-team field.
The Lakeview boys finished ninth overall, paced by TO Sosebee, who finished 17th overall.
