Prep Talk Podcast with Morgan Lee and Katie B. (9-19-17)

By AccessWDUN staff

What a week for high school football! Those in attendance at Memorial Stadium got the privilege of seeing Jefferson and Flowery Branch do work against each other (and Colby Wood's defensive exploits), Buford was handed its first home loss in five years (and first loss to an out-of-state team ever) and among many other things, West Hall's Isreal Lopez further proved himself to be a real difference maker in the kicking game.

In this week's edition of the Prep Talk podcast, AccessWDUN sports editor Morgan Lee and Katie B. discuss:

Beginning of show: How in the world do you keep two active young girls entertained when they're out of school and without power for days?

2-minute mark: A look back at the Flowery Branch at Jefferson game in which Colby Wood showed a different side of himself, and did Flowery Branch show it can challenge Buford for region supremacy?

6:30-minute mark: Did Buford's secondary show itself to be a weak link defensively, or is Derion Kendrick just that good? Also, Buford's offensive line needs to improve and Morgan explains why.

10:20-minute mark: A look back at the North Hall vs. White County game and what it says about the young Trojans squad

12-minute mark: Morgan and Katie B. discuss East Hall's improved defense and ask the question, how do you stop East Hall's offense?

16:50-minute mark: The area's most unheralded X-factor

20-minute mark: Gainesville has had two weeks off heading into this week's game against Jefferson, what should the Red Elephants have focused on most in order to snap a two-game losing streak?

22-minute mark: A look ahead at this week's Region 7-AAA slate and who is Union County's Cole Wright?

26-minute mark: Of the teams entering into region play this week, which one has the most momentum?

28-minute mark: A look at Dawson County at White County

29-minute mark: West Hall's defense will get its ultimate test this week

End of show: Everything you need to know, period.
