The 2017 high school football season ends this weekend as 16 teams descend upon Mercedes Benz Stadium to play for state championships. Two of the 16 hail from our coverage area and in this week's edition of the Prep Talk podcast, AccessWDUN sports editor Morgan Lee and Katie B. discuss Rabun County and North Gwinnett's roads to the title tilt, and Buford's being denied an 11th straight shot at state.
Rabun County will play Hapeville Charter for the Class AA state championship (the first trip there for the Wildcats) at 1 p.m. Saturday. North Gwinnet (making its first appearance since 2013 and first under coach Bill Stewart) will play Colquitt County at 8 p.m.
The Prep Talk podcast records every Wednesday (or Thursday, and maybe a Tuesday here or there) from Jacobs Media on Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville. Have a question or a segment suggestion?
