BLUE RIDGE — Fannin County snapped a two-game losing streak and matched its win total from all of 2016 with a 26-0 shutout of Andrews (N.C.) Friday night at Rebel Stadium.
Cody Jacobs rushed for over 100 yards and added a pair of touchdowns and Dawson King ran for one scored the Rebels (2-2). Alex White also booted field goals of 25- and 28-yards for Fannin County.
It was solid effort by the defense especially after being torched for 60 points during their two-game losing.
"We played good assignment football," Fannin County coach Jim Pavao said. "We ran the ball better an got better quarterback play tonight. We've got to keep improving. We're going into region play 2-2 and that makes it an all-new season now."
The Rebels will open Region 7-AAA play next week at North Hall.
