Mutli-agency effort leads to three arrests in $111k meth ring bust

Three suspects are in custody, and a third on the loose, connected to a $111,000 methamphetamine trafficking ring operating in multiple Northeast Georgia counties.

It started with a "lengthy surveillance" of the operation in Habersham County, where authorities arrested Jennifer Bone, 36, of Demorest and Ronald Jones, 34, of Cornelia at a gas station in Hollywood, according to a statement from Mitchell Posey, special agent in charge, Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

Authorities confiscated 56 grams of methamphetamine from the pair's car, and determined that Bone and Jones were selling it on behalf of Tonya Loudermilk, 40, of Duluth.

When Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputies went to search Loudermilk's residence at an apartment complex on Satellive Boulevard, a man at the home, Derek Lynn Cagley, 40, of Newnan, tried to flush two kilograms of meth down the toilet.

Deputies also found $20-thousand cash inside the home.

Cagley, Jones and Bone were arrested on meth trafficking charges, while Loudermilk remains on the run.
