Friends of Healan's-Head's Mill launches website for mill project

The Friends of Healan's-Head's Mill launched a new website for the restoration of Hall County's last-standing grist mill.

The website for the mill features the history of the mill, progress photos and information on the restoration project.

"It allows people to go read a little history about the mill, the restoration and where we're at and most importantly gives them a way to donate towards the project," said County Administrator Marty Nix.

Nix also said the mill restoration was in the second stage of four. "What we're planning to do next is acquire some additional property around the mill," said Nix. "We have applied for some grants and we've received a tremendous amount of community support, a lot of private donations to help restore this incredible historic landmark."

Friends of Healan's-Head's Mill is a group of citizens working with the county government to restore the 170 year old grist mill.

The website can be found here.
