Truett baseball drops 2 of 3 to Reinhardt

By AccessWDUN

WALESKA — The Truett McConnell baseball team took one of three tightly contested games against (RV) Reinhardt this weekend, losing both ends of a Friday twinbill, 6-5 and 1-0, before taking the series finale, 9-7, Saturday.

TMU put up huge fights in all three games. In the series finale Saturday, the Bears used two four-run innings to snatch the early lead and held on late to get the win. Calob Rowland finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBI to pace the Bears at the plate.

With the win, the Bears earned the No. 6 seed outright in the conference and will continue to play next week in the AAC Tournament held in Kingsport, Tennessee. The Bears will take on Bryan in the opening round on Wednesday with the time TBD. Stay tuned to TMBears.com for the latest news.
