LILBURN — Lakeview Academy could not hold a pair of leads in a wild 11-10 loss to Providence Christian Monday in Region 8-A action.
The Lions led 4-1 in the top of the second but fell behind 9-4 after the third inning. However, they stormed back with a run in the fourth, four in the fifth, and one run in the sixth to reclaim the lead 10-9.
But Providence scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to rally for the win.
It as the eight straight loss for Lakeview (3-13, 0-3 Region 8-A).
Jordan Thomas and Ian Echols each had monster games for the Lions. Thomas had four hits, drove in three and scored three times. Echols had three hits and four RBI for Lakeview.
Andrew Estes had three hits and an RBI; Sam Stewart: had three hits and scored two runs; and Josh Henderson and Alec Bornhorst each had two hits for Lakeview.
The Lions will be back in action on Thursday playing host to Riverside Military.
