Hall 4-H'ers bring home three 1st place awards from District Project Achievement

By AccessWDUN staff
Hall County 4-H’ers in grades 7th through 12th competed in 4-H District Project Achievement recently at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton. More than 530 young people from the northeast area competed in this annual speech and performance contest.

To be eligible to compete, the 4-H’ers are first required to submit a portfolio of their 4-H project work, community service and leadership activities.  For the March contest, each 4-H’er does research in their project area and prepares a presentation which includes a 7-12 minute speech, posters, Power Point slides and other visual aids which help support the content of their speech.  The 4-H’ers competing in the Performing Arts Projects must perform for four minutes either by singing, dancing, acting, playing piano or an instrument for judges and an audience of their peers.
