OAKWOOD — Flowery Branch scored twice in the first inning and then held on for a 2-0 win over West Hall Thursday in baseball action at Spartan Field.
Anthony Grutadaurio and Blake Decker drove in the two runs for the Falcons (5-3) who have won three straight.
JC Sewell and Andrew Armstrong combined on a four-hitter and fanned 12 for the game. Sewell went the first five innings allowing three hits and striking out 11. Armstrong went the final two allowing one hit.
Jeffery Jenkins took the tough loss for West Hall allowing just two hits in a complete-game effort.
The Spartans (4-2) had their four-game win streak snapped with the loss.
