You might have noticed a series of cameras and traffic tubes if you drove along Green Street in Gainesville Wednesday.
It's part of the Green Street improvement feasibility study, as crews will measure the traffic volume in the area, according to Catiel Felts, city spokeswoman.
The study is looking at traffic between Oak Tree Drive and Academy Street, along with a few neighboring side streets and driveways.
"Additionally there are traffic count cameras to collect intersection volumes in order to obtain specific traffic movement," said Felts in an email to AccessWDUN.
Last June, officials announced the completion of the first phase of a restoration project for the historic street, which has proven problematic, since nobody actually knows what the infrastructure is like underneath the road.
