Same old web address. Totally new site. Jackson County has launched its newly redesigned Website.
“Knowing the old website had not been updated in several years and, recognizing the growing needs of our citizens, we wanted to provide a friendlier way for the public to obtain information about Jackson County Government and also the ability to interface with personal electronic devices and mobile apps," according to a statement from the Website Design Committee. "We even set up an option for you to create your own free account so you can customize your experience and engage in information you really care about."
Realizing that "change" can be difficult at times, the committee called for "patience" and time for the new Website to "settle in."
"Give yourself a little time to browse through the new site and enjoy the new features," the statement continues.
County officials note that already this year the county has a larger presence on Facebook and has added Twitter and Instagram accounts.
