BLUE RIDGE — East Hall football will enter the postseason on a winning note thanks to a 47-27 defeat of Fannin County on Friday in Blue Ridge.
Vikings quarterback Austin Parker threw six touchdown passes to help lead East Hall to the win.
The fourth-seeded Vikings (6-4, 3-3 Region 7-AAA) will travel to face Region 8-AAA champ Morgan County in the first round of the state playoffs next week.
They will do so with the leading passer in the state in Parker and one of the top receivers, as Sedrion Morse surpassed the 1,000-yard mark on Friday while hauling in two scoring catches. Amir Ellison, Cambren Harrison, Mon Prather and Tripp Rider also each had a touchdown.
The Vikings defense also provided mulitple sacks on a night when they pressured the Rebels (2-8, 0-6) throughout.
