JEFFERSON — Colby Wood ran for 231 yards and a touchdown and a caught a touchdown to put an exclamation point on his senior night with Jefferson football.
The running back, who also went over 1,000 yards rushing for the third straight season, helped the Dragons storm to a three-touchdown halftime lead that they made hold up in a 28-7 defeat of Oconee County in Jefferson.
The Dragons (8-2, 4-1 Region 8-AAAA) secured the No. 2 seed for the playoffs with the win -- they will play host to White County in the first round next week.
Bryce Moore also starred for Jefferson in the win, passing for 221 yards and three scores, connecting with Wood, Zac Corbin and Garmon Randolph.
