The Truett McConnell softball team has been picked to finish fourth in the Appalachian Athletic Conference in 2017 as voted on by the league's coaches. Reinhardt was picked to finish on top of the league.
The Bears garnered a first-place vote in the preseason poll and tallied 76 points, three behind Tennessee Wesleyan. Bryan was picked to finish second.
TMU is coming off of a record-setting 29-22 season a year ago that saw the Bears make it to the quarterfinals of the tournament, defeating Milligan in the opening round.
The Bears will open the season with a doubleheader at Coastal Georgia on February 4.
