The Hall County Board of Commissioners will welcome its new chairman, Richard Higgins, Monday.
Higgins was elected in November to succeed Richard Mecum, who chose not to seek re-election, and Monday's work session will be his first commission meeting as chairman.
Much of the agenda deals with annual organizational matters such as election of a vice-chairman, as well as county administrator, attorney, warden, and clerk appointments. Each of the five commissioners is also expected to appoint a member of the county planning commission.
Other matters on the agenda include reports from the planning and finance departments as well as other county departments and officials.
