LILBURN — Lakeview Academy football picked up its first win of the campaign on Friday, knocking out Providence Christian 31-14 in Lilburn.
Alec Bornhorst tossed two touchdown passes for the Lions (1-3, 1-2 Region 8-A), one each to Jared Abee and KJ Millwood. Carter Ambrose also rushed for two scores in the win, while Jack Perkins added a 32-yard field goal.
"That means a lot to us (to get the win)," Lakeview coach Matthew Gruhn said. "The kids have improved each week, and it's nice to get a reward for all that hard work. We've got a tough road ahead, so this is nice."
The Lions play host to Athens Christian next week.
