RABBITTOWN — Don't look now but East Hall is finding its offensive rhythm again -- and with its region schedule beginning next week it could not come at a better time.
The Vikings defeated Jackson County 38-22 on Friday night, giving East Hall 85 points scored in two straight wins.
East Hall got three touchdowns from Deon Ellison to help lead the way, as the Vikings standout rushed for 86 yards and two scores while also catching three passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. Tripp Rider and Sedrion Morse also produced scores for the Vikings (2-2), as Austin Parker completed 10 of 22 passes for 211 yards.
Noah Venable paced the Panthers (1-4), rushing for 140 yards and a score, while Chris Griggs added 74 yards on 16 carries. Caleb Matthews also threw a touchdown pass, putting up 104 yards through the air and 15 on the ground, where he also scored once.
East Hall will travel to face Lumpkin County next week as it begins Region 7-AAA play.
Jackson County has a bye next week before taking on Madison County in Region 8-AAA play on Sept. 30.
