Lula Elementary School students had the opportunity Friday to learn more about local agriculture as part of the Hall County Extension Service's annual Ag Day.
Local vendors including Jaemor Farms, the Hall County Cattlemans Association, the University of Georgia and the Georgia Mobile Dairy Classroom, among others, made appearances to educate children on the importance of agriculture and how it impacts their community.
Classes went around to 11 different stations and learned about the poultry, dairy and cattle industries, native Georgia animals, local plants and farming, farm equipment and manufacturing, as well as interacting with animals like chickens, ponies, donkeys, goats, a dairy cow and a bull.
