Riverside Military Academy’s Annual Fund Coordinator, Mary Paglia, was named the 2015 state GOALTender of the Year during this year's Georgia GOAL Scholarship conference.
Representatives from over 100 GOAL partner schools attended the conference held at the Wesleyan School, and Paglia received the top award for her diligence and enthusiasm for the program, according to a press release from Riverside.
The award plaque reads, “Thank you for helping provide deserving Georgia children with Greater Opportunities for Access to Learning.”
Paglia is a Gainesville native who began working at Riverside in 2012. School officials say she has continued to increase the school’s Georgia GOAL Scholarship donor participation each year, helping to fund more cadet scholarships for those with demonstrated need. Her husband, Marc Paglia, serves as athletic director for Riverside, and he has worked at the Academy for 20+ years.
Individual taxpayers, LLCs, partnerships, and corporations can participate in the GOAL Scholarship program. Any Georgia resident is eligible to redirect their tax dollars to student scholarships at Riverside Military Academy. Learn more at http://www.goalscholarship.org/about_goal/.
