A Hall County man is in jail, charged with threatening a woman who lived with him and responding officers with a knife.
Flaviano Liberato-Rios, 38, of Gainesville had to be subdued with a Taser outside the home on Highland Terrace June 17, when he was arrested, said Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware.
Liberato-Rios allegedly pulled the knife on the woman, threatening to kill her.
The woman was able to flee to a bathroom and call 911.
"(Liberato-Rios) held the woman in the bathroom, not allowing her to leave," said Ware in a phone interview.
Ware said he is unsure of the relationship between Liberato-Rios and the woman.
When deputies arrived on scene, Liberato-Rios pulled the knife on deputies, whereupon deputies used a Taser to subdue him.
Liberato-Rios is charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and felony obstruction of an officer.
No officers were injured in the altercation.
