Nightly single-lane closures will be necessary this week on two state routes for the painting of the I-985 bridges in Gainesville.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says the SR 53 Connector and SR 369/Jesse Jewell Parkway between the I-985 southbound ramps and the I-985 northbound ramps will be affected.
The lane closures for SR 53 Connector will begin on Tuesday and the closures for SR 369/Jesse Jewell Parkway will begin on Thursday. Lane closures on SR 53 will end on Friday, June 3, with closures on SR 396 ending on Friday, June 10, weather permitting.
The painting will take place nightly between 9:00 and 5:00.
