A Cumming man and one from Buford have been named to state boards by Gov. Nathan Deal.
Steve Page of Cumming was appointed to the Board of Community Supervision. Page is the CEO of Georgia Probation Management. He is a former member of the County and Municipal Probation Advisory Council and the Board of Community Supervision Advisory Council.
Gwinnett County Schools Supt. Alvin Wilbanks, who lives in Buford, was named to the Public School Personnel Indemnification Commission. Wilbanks was president of Gwinnett Technical College from 1984-1996 and has held a number of positions with both the DeKalb County and Gwinnett County public school systems.
